The Ghana police said it will give an amount of GH₵5,000 to anyone who is able help in anyway leading to the arrest of a young man who fired bullets into the air to welcome the new year on 31st night at ANC mall East Legon in Accra.

According to the the police it is unlawful firing bullets in the public.

A viral video was intercepted by the police belived to be AK47 happened in Accra on 31st night.

The police said it has taken stance against the young man after reviewing the video footage since its a crime to discharge fireams in the public without lawful or unecessary occasion according to public Section 209 of Criminal Offences Act 1960 (29 )

A bounty of Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵ 5,000) is placed for anyone who is able to provide information leading to his arrest.
